As a busy mom with active kids and pets, I do my best to keep them all healthy and happy all of the time. However, anyone will kids will tell you that small scraps and minor colds or sicknesses are very common, especially when your kids start school. This is why I keep a bottle of Blue Tansy essential oil on-hand.

My goal with this post is to share a few of my favorite benefits and uses of Blue Tansy essential oil with you so you can use it to keep your family as healthy and happy as possible all year-round.

Six Proven Benefits and Uses of Blue Tansy Oil

1. Blue Tansy Oil Can Help Control Allergic Reactions

My kids have terrible seasonal allergies, and I hated seeing them so uncomfortable when the weather warmed up in the spring and early summer months. They’d get really congested, and their eyes would itch, and this made it hard for them to sleep or lay down for their naps. (1)

Blue Tansy oil can help to control the histamine production in a person’s body. Histamine is the enzyme that is responsible for triggering common allergic reaction symptoms. You can add Blue Tansy oil to your essential oil diffuser and let your kids breathe it in. This will get the oil into their systems, and it’ll go to work neutralizing the histamine and stopping any further production. (2)

2. Blue Tansy Oil Has Anti-Bacterial Properties

It seems like my kids can’t go outside to play without coming back with at least one small scrape or scratch. I used to spend a decent amount of money trying to keep antiseptics in the house, but Blue Tansy Oil changed that. (3)

Blue Tansy oil is a powerful antibacterial agent. Research showed that it stops bacteria from multiplying and that it kills dozens of different strains. I diluted one drop of Blue Tansy oil into 10 drops of water before I put it on the cuts and scrapes, so it didn’t sting.

3. Blue Tansy Oil Reduces Inflammation

Inflammation is your body’s way of fighting off perceived threats or infections. My mom has arthritis, and this causes her joints to swell and ache, especially when it’s damp and cold outside. She decided to try Blue Tansy oil in addition to her over-the-counter medications, and she was amazed at how well it worked. (4)

She made a topical cream to massage into her affected joints by combining one ounce of coconut oil (or any carrier oil) with 10 drops of Blue Tansy oil. She stored it in an amber glass jar and massaged a small amount into her joints every evening before she went to sleep.

4. Blue Tansy Oil Protects Against Insects and Rodents

No matter how much I cleaned my home, I always seemed to find ants or the occasional mouse running around. I was worried about them damaging the house or bringing disease in. I was so excited to find that Blue Tansy oil could help keep all of these pests away. (5)

I got a small plastic sprayer bottle and mixed a quarter cup of white vinegar with 10 drops of Blue Tansy oil and eight ounces of water. I put this mixture in the spray bottle and sprayed it around my home. It does have a stronger smell, and this smell is what drives rodents and insects away.

5. Blue Tansy Oil Heals Your Skin

I like to wear light makeup throughout the day, but I noticed that my skin was breaking out and drying out when I removed it at night. This was really frustrating, so I started to look for a natural way to make my skin look healthy, moisturized, and young. (6)

Luckily for me, I found out that Blue Tansy oil is packed full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. These things can help to clear up my skin and reduce any redness that my makeup can leave behind. I diluted two or three drops of the oil into 10 or 15 drops of water and used it as a face wash each night before bed. (7)

6. Blue Tansy Oil Fights Stress

Trying to balance my kids and work is difficult, and it’s harder when they go back to school and join their after school activities. I can experience high levels of stress throughout the day, and I’m sure almost every mom out there can relate. (8)

I wanted an easy way to relax and unwind, so I use Blue Tansy oil in two ways. First, I run a diffuser by my bed with a few drops of this oil every night. It helps me sleep better and relax. I also treat myself to a nice, long bath every few days with a few drops of Blue Tansy oil. (9)

My Blue Tansy Oil Experience

As I touched on earlier, I like to use Blue Tansy essential oil as a natural pesticide and rodent deterrent. I mixed a quarter cup of white vinegar with 10 drops of Blue Tansy oil and eight ounces of water into a spray bottle and sprayed it around my home and furniture. It works very well around the windows and doorways to stop the pests from getting inside.

My kids are always coming back inside from playing with new cuts or small scrapes, and I wanted a natural way to speed up the healing process and disinfect their cuts. I diluted one or two drops of Blue Tansy oil into 10 to 12 drops of water and applied it to their cuts. They said that it didn’t sting, and I noticed that the cuts and scrapes healed faster.

However, one of my favorite uses for Blue Tansy oil was as a preventative method for allergies. I didn’t like to see my kids miserable, and the common allergy medications made them too sleepy. Blue Tansy oil’s light floral scent made it easy to get them to breathe it in, and it helped to clear up their congestion. They were able to go to sleep for their afternoon nap easily, and they woke up happy and allergy-symptom free.
